LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A person died Sunday evening in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 265 in New Albany, Indiana.
New Albany Police Chief Todd Bailey said emergency crews were dispatched at 6 p.m. to a crash involving two vehicles on eastbound I-265 near the State Street interchange.
Police said a female, whose age was not immediately available, was seriously injured and taken to a Louisville hospital.
Indiana State Police later confirmed that a person involved in the crash had died. It wasn't clear that the victim was the female seriously injured in the crash.
Police said the conditions of the other people involved in the crash were not immediately known.
The roadway has since reopened.
