LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An 18-year-old man died in a house fire in Taylorsville early Saturday morning.
In a Facebook post, the Taylorsville-Spencer County Fire Protection District said crews responded to the 1000 block of Bloomfield Road in Taylorsville after reports of a house fire just after 1 a.m. Sept. 7.Â
When firefighters arrived they were met with heavy fire and smoke.
The Taylorsville-Spencer County Fire Protection District chief said several people were trapped inside, including 18-year-old James Nation. He died at the scene.
Nation was a former member of the Taylorsville-Spencer County Fire Protection District Jr. Firefighters Program from 2022-23.
