LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting earlier this month on West Broadway, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Police said 19-year-old Keontre Mitchell was arrested in the June 6 shooting in the 4400 block of W. Broadway, near South 44th Street between the Chickasaw and Shawnee neighborhoods.
Officers were called to the area around 4:26 p.m. on reports of a shooting and found a man who was shot multiple times. He was taken to UofL Hospital, where he later died.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 27-year-old Kevonte White.
Mitchell is charged with murder and receiving stolen property valued between $500 and $1,000.
Authorities have not released additional details about what led to the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing.
