2 horses euthanized after suffering injuries at Keeneland

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two horses were euthanized after they were injured on the track at Keeneland.

Track officials said in Race 6, Gotta Lotta Temp suffered an injury that led to the decision to humanely euthanize the horse. Jockey Tyler Gaffalione was evaluated and cleared by medical staff to continue riding.

A separate incident occurred in Race 1, involving Cielo and jockey Flavien Prat.

Cielo was also humanely euthanized due to injury severity. Prat was evaluated by medical staff and cleared to ride.
