LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Free Public Library surpassed a million digital check outs in 2023 for the third year in a row.
The library system in Louisville had a record-breaking 1.4 million eBooks and downloadable audiobooks checked out in 2023. According to a news release, the library's total checkouts, including print books, eBooks and audiobooks reached 3.6 million in 2023.
Anyone who lives, works, owns property or goes to school in Jefferson County is eligible for library card, which gives free access to the Louisville Free Public Library's entire catalog.
