LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A UPS Worldport employee died Thursday after he was hit by a vehicle on the property, according to Louisville Metro Police.
John Bradley, a spokesman for LMPD, said units with the Louisville Regional Airport Authority Police and Fire responded to an area on UPS property near the 900 block of Grade Lane around 4:30 p.m.
Officers said the man was pronounced deceased on the scene. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victim Friday as 46-year-old Dallas Carroll II, of Georgetown, Indiana.
LMPD's Homicide Unit responded and will be investigating, but foul play isn't suspected.
"We are deeply saddened by the passing of an individual today at Worldport," UPS said in a written statement Wednesday. "Our thoughts are with his family."
