LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man died early Sunday morning after being hit by a train in Louisville's Park Hill neighborhood.

Dwight Mitchell, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded to a crash involving a train and a pedestrian at the intersection of South 13th Street and West Burnett Avenue just before 12:30 a.m.

Police said they found a man who had been hit by a train and he died at the scene.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victim Monday as 47-year-old Antonio Rondo. 

According to the coroner's office, Rondo died at the hospital and his manner of death was ruled an accident.
