LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Cuteness alert! Anchorage-Middletown Fire & EMS saved the day Tuesday afternoon in Norton Commons with an uncommon rescue.
Jenna Penfield was on a walk with her four kids when they heard a black kitten that had fallen into a storm drain.
Penfield flagged down another person to call the fire department, who were luckily just a few blocks away.
Four Anchorage-Middletown firefighters answered the call and were able to coax the kitten out of the storm drain with a can of tuna.
The Penfield family plans to keep the kitten and name it "Fire" in honor of the men who rescued it.
