LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Jefferson County coroner's office has released the name of a man who died after he was hit by a vehicle on I-64 East near Slugger Field Thursday morning.Â
The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Daniel A Metheny-Rodriguez, Jr.
Louisville Metro Police said he was hit by a vehicle while he was in the standing in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 64 at I-65. It's not clear why he was in the road.Â
Metheny-Rodriguez Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:20 a.m. from "multiple blunt force trauma" sustained in a traffic accident, according to the coroner's report.Â
Another pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle on the 2nd Street Bridge a short time earlier. All lanes were shut down while crews investigated.Â
