LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man is dead after being hit by a vehicle near Slugger Field early Thursday morning.
It happened just before 7 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 64 near I-65, according to a news release from LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell.
The man was in the roadway when he was hit, according to Mitchell.
Another pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle on the 2nd Street Bridge a short time earlier. All lanes were shut down while crews investigated.
LMPD's Traffic Unit is investigating.
