LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- Messages like "Beware of Zombies" are popping up on a Louisville road sign. The city's public works department is investigating who's been changing the messages on an electronic message board.
Lindsay English with Metro Public Works says, "It was a prank, but now it's really becoming a public safety issue, because we use those messages to convey important information to motorists that are driving by. Now we want it to stop."
The sign on Brownsboro road in Clifton was hacked twice already this week. The signs are operated through a subcontractor which is investigating how the signs have been reprogrammed.
The signs are password-protected.
