LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana Gov. Mike Braun praised law enforcement for finding $7 million worth of cocaine.

On Saturday afternoon, an Indiana State Police trooper stopped a semi tractor-trailer on Interstate 70 in Putnam County traveling from Joplin, Missouri, to Richmond, Indiana, on a routine Department of Transportation compliance inspection, according to a news release Monday.

The trooper said while talking with the driver, he was alerted to indicators of criminal activities. An ISP drug dog was called in and found 309 pounds of cocaine in the sleeper berth of the truck. The estimated street value of the cocaine is estimated at $7 million.

"Indiana has zero tolerance for drug traffickers," Braun said in a release.

Gurpreet Singh, 25, of Fresno, California, and Jasveer Singh, 30, of Santa Clara, California, were both arrested for felony narcotics dealing. ICE deportation holds were also placed on each of them.
