LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in Brandenburg, Kentucky, are asking for the public's help to find two armed robbers, one of whom held the tip of his rifle to a gas station clerk's head.

A man dressed in black, wearing a ski mask and carrying a black-and-tan rifle walked into the Valero gas station at 1200 Bypass Road in Brandenburg shortly before 5 a.m. Monday. He went behind the counter and pointed the rifle at the clerk.

"The tip of the barrel hit her in the ear," said Brandenburg Police Chief Brian Haag.

The robber left the store with about $400 from the store and the clerk's purse and escaped in the passenger seat of a stolen getaway car.
 
Chenelle Crum, the gas station manager, said the clerk who was robbed is still shaken up.
 
"I know that she was scared to death," Crum said. "I called and checked on her. She's okay; she said she didn't sleep very well."

The robbers remain at large. Police warned the public not to approach them.
