LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Brown-Forman is spending $12 million to buy and expand a mill in Indiana.
The new mill in Spencer, Ind., will produce parts needed for bourbon barrels.
Most of those parts will then be used in Louisville at the Jack Daniel's cooperage.
A spokesperson says the opening of the mill will create between 50 and 55 jobs, and should be operational within a few months.
He says the expansion is the result of growing demand for American whiskey and bourbon.
