LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville school is raffling of a six-bottle collection of Pappy Van Winkle bourbon.
Summit Academy's annual Pappy Palooza Raffle opens Friday. Tickets cost $100, and the raffle remains open until April 24.
The winner will receive six 2024 bottles:
- 2024 Old Rip Van Winkle, 10-year-old
- 2024 Van Winkle Family Reserve, 12-year-old
- 2024 Pappy Van Winkle, 15-year-old
- 2024 Van Winkle, 13-year-old Rye
- 2024 Pappy Van Winkle, 20-year-old
- 2024 Pappy Van Winkle, 23-year-old
The money raised in the raffle all goes to Summit Academy, a nonprofit independent school in Middletown for students with neurological differences. Specifically, Summit said in a news release Thursday it'll use the money for a new high school vocational lab as well as tuition assistance.
Five-hundred tickets are available. The winner will have the option of taking the bourbon or a $5,000 cash prize. If the winner chooses the cash after fewer than 100 raffle tickets were sold, he or she will receive 50% of the money raised.
