LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Angel's Envy plans to expand its downtown Louisville distillery by building a three-story bottling and event space on what is currently a parking lot at East Main and South Jackson streets across from Louisville Slugger Field.
The new building, at 418 E. Main St., will connect to Angel's Envy's existing distillery via dual pedways built across South Jackson, according to renderings filed with Louisville Metro government.
Founded by the late former Brown-Forman master distiller Lincoln Henderson in 2006, Angel's Envy grew quickly and was eventually acquired by spirits giant Bacardi. The small-batch bourbon is finished in port casks, giving it a distinct flavor.
Angel's Envy established the downtown distillery near Slugger Field in 2016.
The new building will have spaces for cocktail classes, private events and tasting rooms, according to plans filed with Metro government.
