CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (WDRB) -- A new pub-style restaurant is now open in a former southern Indiana Hooters location.
By Golly's Bar & Grill opened Thursday at 941 East Lewis & Clark Parkway in Clarksville, where the Hooters was located until it closed in 2024.
The restaurant is known for its burgers, salads, hoagies, flatbreads, and chicken or fish entrées, as well as appetizers such as wings, mozzarella sticks, loaded nachos and soft pretzels.
The new restaurant is expected to employ about 75 people. Plans originally called for the restaurant to open in August, but the date was delayed to allow more time for training and customer service preparation.
"People can expect to get one of the best burgers ever, we have great waffle fries, our wings are delicious, our tenders are jumbo, and our salads are fresh and we have the freshest cocktail and the coldest beer," Heather Frye, COO of By Golly's, said.
Epic Eeats Restaurant Group invested $350,000 to open the restaurant. The first By Golly's opened in 1983 in the Cincinnati region and has been expanding. It now has 11 locations.
