LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Ford says it's putting technology on its 2017 Fusions to better protect cars from damage caused by potholes.

The company say the shock absorber system automatically stiffens when sensors detect a pothole.

It allows the system to keep the wheel elevated instead of dropping into the hole.

Some luxury cars already have similar technology.
