LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear took a trip to South Korea to meet with the leadership team from BlueOval SK.

Two BlueOval SK vehicle battery plants are under construction in Hardin County, Kentucky, as part of an investment from Ford and the South Korean company.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, BlueOval SK leaders said they enjoyed visiting with the governor.

Beshear also shared more photos of the visit in several posts on his Facebook page. One shows him and his wife under a banner that said "SK On welcomes Governor and First Lady."

Ford and BlueOval SK are still building both plants in Kentucky, but equipment, hiring and production are indefinitely delayed at the second factory. However, Kentucky's deal gives BlueOval SK until the end of 2030 to reach the full 5,000-job target for the battery campus.
