LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A popular Louisville brewery is moving from its original location in the Phoenix Hill neighborhood this summer.
Gravely Brewing Co. announced Tuesday it would be relocating its taproom on Baxter Avenue, near Barret Avenue, to NuLu.
The new taproom will be located at 901 E. Main St., at the northwest corner of East Main and North Campbell streets. That's across from Nami Modern Korean Steakhouse, not far from where NuLu and the Butchertown neighborhood meet.
Gravely will bring its award-winning craft beers, as well as Eliana's Honduran Cafe, to the new 10,000-square-foot space, which spans from 901 to 905 E. Main St.
In a Facebook post, Gravely said the new location will allow for an open-concept space with a lot of natural light, an "expansive" patio and "a more seamless customer experience."
The taproom and retail space on Baxter Avenue, which opened in 2017 as a live music brewery, will close when the new location is ready. The original location will still be used for brewing, with plans to repurpose the space "into something better, that's also very Gravely."
"We realize there is a lot of nostalgia associated with our Baxter Avenue location, but we're looking forward to sharing this amazing new space with the community who has supported us the past eight years," Nathaniel Gravely, president and founder of Gravely, said in a news release.
The hours at the new location will be the same as the current location. The brewery is also exploring the possibility of opening for lunch.
The new location is expected to open late this summer, but an official opening date has not yet been announced.
