LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville-based fast food chain is opening its first location in New Albany, Indiana, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.

Indi's Chicken is set to open this spring at 3505 Grant Line Road, a space formerly home to a Skyline Chili.

The restaurant's marketing manager, Shelby Evanczyk, said Indi's purchased the location in the fall of 2024. The space is currently undergoing renovations and Evanczyk said they hope to open in late April or early May.

Indi’s operates one location in Lexington, five in Louisville and one in Jeffersonville, Indiana, at 2978 E. 10th St.

"We wanted to expand in southern Indiana to another location and this seemed like the perfect spot," Evanczyk said.

Indi's Chicken, coined as the "Home of Spicy Chicken," sells chicken, seafood and barbecue rib tips.

The new location plans to employ 15 people. Their hours will be 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays.
