LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville-based company Dan-O's seasoning is featured in a new TikTok ad campaign.
The video focuses on how the Louisville business was able to take off because of the platform.
The video comes as President Donald Trump said he will consider reducing tariffs on China to complete the sale of the social media platform.
Its parent company, Bytedance, has until April 5 to sell TikTok. After that, a U.S. ban on the social media site is supposed to be enacted for national security concerns. President Trump has said he is willing to extend the deadline.
TikTok has stated that creators and small businesses would be greatly impacted with a ban.
The ad campaign said in its video small businesses on TikTok added more than $24 billion to the U.S. economy. It's not clear over what time period that figure represents.
Dan-O's founder Dan Oliver said in the commercial campaign he doesn't know if he'd have made it this far with his business without TikTok.
Dan-O's now has 45 team members in Louisville, and the seasonings are in 20,000 grocery stores nationwide.
