LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville-based ISCO Industries agreed to a four-year deal to be the title sponsor for the PGA Tour's July event in Kentucky, formerly the Barbasol Championship.

The PGA Tour announced the partnership Wednesday, a little more than a month before the ISCO Championship will be played at Champions at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville from July 11-14.

"As a proud company based in the Bluegrass State, ISCO Industries has stepped up to further elevate the ISCO Championship in the Kentucky community," Tyler Dennis, chief competitions officer for the PGA Tour, said in a news release Wednesday. "The PGA TOUR and DP World Tour look forward to introducing ISCO to its players and fans at the ISCO Championship later this year."

Formerly known as the Barbasol Championship since 2018, the tour announced earlier this year that it would return in 2024 without a sponsor, simply named the Kentucky Championship. But ISCO's last-minute investment gives the tournament a title sponsorship after all.

The past winners at Champions at Keene Trace include:

  • 2018: Troy Merritt
  • 2019: Jim Herman
  • 2020: Canceled
  • 2021: Seamus Power
  • 2022: Trey Mullinax
  • 2023: Vincent Norrman

"We are incredibly proud to step forward as the title sponsor of Kentucky's sole PGA TOUR event," said ISCO CEO Jimmy Kirchdorfer, also one of the owners of Valhalla Golf Club. "This partnership embodies our commitment to excellence and community engagement. As a Kentucky-based company with deep roots in the region, we are thrilled to support this event and contribute to the growth of golf in our home state. We look forward to an exciting tournament and extending our Kentucky hospitality to players and visitors from around the world."

The 2024 ISCO Championship will feature a field of 156 players playing for a $4 million purse.
