LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville's airport is decked out in roses and ready to welcome guests for Kentucky Derby 150 with some special gifts.

Wednesday and Thursday, the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport will have live music and will hand out 30,000 Woodford Reserve bourbon balls to visitors.

The terminal is decorated with more than 3,000 fresh roses welcoming the rest of the world to Louisville.

Some people are even visiting Churchill Downs for the very first time.

"There was people of all ages, all shapes and sizes, all walks of life coming together and they all have hats and fascinators on, and it was just cool to see everyone dressed up and having a good time together," said Anne Desjardins, who is vising from Pennsylvania.

Airport officials said they're expecting more than 34,000 arrivals during the three days leading up to the Kentucky Derby.

The Sunday after the race tends to be the airport's busiest departure day of the year, with an estimated 18,000 travelers.
