LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Downtown Drive-In series is returning to Louisville this month.

Louisville Downtown Partnership and the Waterfront Development Corporation are back for another summer of the outdoor movie series. Waterfront Park's Brown-Forman Amphitheater hosts the outdoor cinema experience.

It's free for people to attend the film screenings.

"The Downtown Drive-In has become one of our signature community events, bringing people together to enjoy movies under the Louisville skyline," Rebecca Fleischaker, executive director of Louisville Downtown Partnership, said in a news release Wednesday. "This series showcases our commitment to creating vibrant Downtown experiences that connect residents and visitors alike while highlighting the unique charm of our urban core."

The series will be held Friday nights through October, according to a news release. The amphitheater will open an hour before sundown and the films begin at dusk.

The 2025 schedule includes:

  • May 16, Pitch Perfect (PG-13)
  • June 6, Happy Gilmore (PG-13)
  • June 20, Fast and Furious (PG-13)
  • July 11, Pretty in Pink (PG-13)
  • Aug. 1, Honey, I Shrunk the Kids (PG)
  • Aug. 22, Men in Black (PG-13)
  • Sept. 19, Moana (PG)
  • Sept. 26, Jaws (PG)
  • Oct. 3, Mean Girls (PG-13)
  • Oct. 10, Ghostbusters (PG)

There will be snacks and drinks available to purchase from Froggy's Popcorn, Please & Thank You and local beer from Ten20 Craft Brewery. People are welcome to bring blankets and chairs. People are encouraged to arrive early to save their spot.

The movie nights are weather-dependent.
