LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- After two years of dinning with modern Korean cuisine, Nami Modern Korean Steakhouse is saying goodbye to Louisville.
Launched in 2023 by chef Edward Lee, Nami earned national praise, including spots on Esquire’s “50 Best New Restaurants of 2023” and USA TODAY’s “2024 Restaurants of the Year.”
Owner Earl Winebrenner said the decision to close was difficult.
“Closing Nami was an incredibly hard choice, but we hope to work with proven operators in 2026 to reimagine the space and keep the positive momentum going,” he said in news release.
Co-owner Holly Winebrenner thanked staff and the community for their support.
The restaurant, located at 835 E. Main St., will close Wednesday, Nov. 26.
Guests who want to dine one last time are encouraged to make reservations. Gift cards will be accepted through the final day.
