LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Heaven Hill Distillery says it's working with a union to end a three-week strike.

The company says, "Monday was the start of an ongoing dialogue with the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 23D. We will continue to work collaboratively with their leadership toward ratification of an industry-leading employment contract."

Union members have been in negotiations over work contracts for the past six months. Nearly 400 union members voted overwhelmingly in early September to reject a five-year contract offer. The strike began Sept. 11.

Union leaders said the two main issues are wages and potential shift changes.
