LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The space previously occupied by Trouble Bar in Shelby Park will reopen as a new coffeehouse, café, bar and bookstore.

Nook & Nowhere will be located at 1149 S. Shelby Street, reported by our partners at Louisville Business First.

Trouble Bar closed at the end of 2024 after five years in business, but the owners will remain the same, Nicole Stipp and Kaitlyn Soligan-Owens. The owners said they were looking for a location for a daytime concept, but opted to use the space occupied by Trouble Bar.

"There's a woman in town named Dawnshaee Reid, she runs an Instagram called Intro to Eclecticism, and she started bringing book events to the bar a few years ago," Soligan-Owens said. "And then there's a local bookstore called Set & Setting in Portland. They did some pop ups as well, and these were just incredibly popular, and people really enjoyed them. It made us really excited to see people, honestly, just so interested in books and reading, and it generated a lot of in-person community, which is what we're always looking to do."

Nook & Nowhere doesn't have an opening date as of yet.

The owners believe the new concept will appeal to a wider audience.
