LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The largest purebred livestock show in the world kicks off in Louisville on Thursday.

Hundreds of thousands of visitors and exhibitors are expected for the 50th annual North American Livestock Exposition. It goes from Nov. 2-16 at the Kentucky Exposition Center. 

The expo features ten divisions of livestock competition including dairy cattle, beef cattle, dairy goat, meat goat, swine, sheep, llama, alpaca, mule and draft horse.

The North American Championship Rodeo is scheduled for Nov. 9-11. The event brings in an estimated economic impact of almost $14 million.
