LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Royals Hot Chicken is back open on Market Street in NuLu with a new look.
Royals said Thursday the new design — completed while the restaurant was closed Monday and Tuesday — replaced white walls with "an homage to the psychedelic effects eating the hottest peppers can have on you."
Some walls appear to be dripping with hot chili oil.
"Royals Hot Chicken is deliciously messy and doesn’t lack personality," Jessica Fey of Royals Hot Chicken said in a news release Thursday. "Our dining room is now a space worthy enough to contain all its character. We are thrilled to unveil our newly renovated space, which reflects our commitment to not only serving the best Nashville hot chicken but also creating a unique and immersive environment for our loyal guests and newcomers."
They hope it creates a unique and immersive environment for guests.
