LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Spirit Airlines is adding nonstop service to Atlanta, Dallas and Newark in the New York City-area from the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.

According to a news release from the airport Tuesday, those cities are the top three markets for inbound passengers to SDF.

The new seasonal flights are scheduled to begin in early May.

"This is a great start to 2025 with multiple announcements for new, nonstop service from Spirit at SDF in a matter of weeks," Dan Mann, executive director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority, said in a news release. "These additional routes, which add more flights to three of our overall Top 10 markets, are another example of the positive momentum, on-going air service growth and successes happening at SDF."

The flights will be nonstop and offered twice per week:

  • Newark: Starts May 1 and flies Thursdays and Sundays
  • Dallas: Starts May 8 and flies Thursdays and Sundays
  • Atlanta: Starts May 9 and flies Mondays and Fridays

And starting March 21, Spirit will begin nonstop service from Louisville to Myrtle Beach and relaunch its service from Louisville to Tampa.
