LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- This week, customers of select Target stores will be able to take advantage of a new service that delivers their pre-purchased items right to their vehicles.
According to a spokesperson for the big box retailer, the store's "Drive Up" service, which is already being offered at stores in several states, is expanding to Kentucky.
To take advantage of the service, customers must first place an order for their merchandise in the Target app. They then wait for a notification to tell them that their order is ready to be picked up. Customers then use the app to tell the store they are on their way. When they arrive, customers park in the designated parking spot, and use the app to notify the store that they are there. An employee of the store will then bring their order to their vehicle, releasing it to the customer after scanning a barcode from the customer's phone to confirm that they are the appropriate recipient.
