LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man is dead and another is injured after a double shooting early Monday morning in Louisville's Newburg neighborhood.

According to LMPD spokesman Aaron Ellis, officers were notified of a shooting in the 4200 block of Norene Lane shortly before 4 a.m. When they arrived on scene, they found two men outside with gunshot wounds.

Officers, EMS, and Okolona Fire officials gave life-saving measures until they were both taken to University Hospital.

One of the men died shortly after arriving there, while the other is believed to have non-life threatening injuries, according to Ellis.

LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating, but has no suspects and has made no arrests.
