LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A local hospital has been recognized as a Best Nursing Home for 2024 by the U.S. News and World Report.
Kindred Hospital Louisville Subacute Unit (SAU) was given a 5 out of 5 overall rating in the evaluation while also achieving the highest possible rating for long-term care.
Located in the Highlands area, Kindred Hospital Louisville’s SAU is a 47-bed skilled nursing facility serving its own patients aside from Kindred Hospital Louisville long-term acute care hospital.
"We are excited and proud that Kindred Hospital Louisville Subacute Unit has been named one of U.S. News and World Report’s Best Nursing Homes," William Boso, Executive Director of the SAU, said in a news release.
For this upcoming year's edition, the U.S. News committee rated more than 15,000 nursing homes on several factors that include but are not limited to staffing levels, infection rates, and health inspection results.
Since 2009, U.S. News annual Best Nursing Homes ratings have aided consumers in need of either short-term or long-term care for themselves or a family member.
