LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A popular donut destination is getting ready to open its second Louisville location in the Highlands.
According to our partners at Louisville Business First, Yonutz Fantastical Donuts and Ice Cream will open its second store at 1449 Bardstown Road, next to Green District Salads, in a nearly 3,000-square-foot space. The new store is expected to open in April.
The first Yonutz store opened in 2025 at 12939 Shelbyville Road in Middletown by couple Ben and Amanda Hiner.
Most known for its “smashed donuts," which are sliced, filled, smashed and topped, the shop also offers gourmet doughnuts, mini doughnuts, ice cream and milkshakes.
The new Highlands Yonutz store will be based on the brand's new "clawcade" concept, featuring arcade-type claw machines where you win stuffed animals.
"It’s a big section for claw machines and arcade games and other stuff for the kids," Ben Hinder told Louisville Business First.
The new Highlands location will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. An opening date has not yet been announced.
