LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Five juveniles were arrested Monday night on the Big Four Bridge after allegedly robbing a vendor at gunpoint in Louisville.

In a social media post, the Jeffersonville Police Department said officers assigned to Big Four Station Park assisted Louisville Metro Police just before 10 p.m.

Police said they used City Safe cameras, along with LMPD resources, to monitor the suspects after the alleged armed robbery.

Officers quickly intercepted the suspects before they fully crossed the bridge into Indiana.

Police said five juveniles were detained and turned over to Louisville police. LMPD then charged them with robbery.

"This incident is another example of the strong partnership and communication between the Jeffersonville Police Department and the Louisville Metro Police Department," Jeffersonville police said in a social media post. "In addition, having JPD officers assigned to Big Four Station Park allowed for an immediate response. This was highlighted by the ability to detain the suspects before they even set foot in Indiana."
