LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The woman who died early Friday morning after a hit-and-run crash in the Park Hill neighborhood was identified Monday.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified her as 52-year-old Nakicia Spellman.

LMPD spokesperson Christopher Baker said officers responded to the report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle just before 3:45 a.m. Friday on West Oak Street, near 11th Street.

Police said Spellman was hit by an unknown vehicle, which drove off in an unknown direction.

Baker said first responders rendered aid to Spellman at the scene before she was transported to UofL Hospital with life-threatening injuries. She later died there.
