Carrollton Utilities issues boil water advisory following 8-inch main break

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) – The entire Carrollton Utilities system is under a boil water advisory until further notice after an 8-inch water main broke Wednesday night, according to a Facebook post from Carrollton Utilities.

Due to the break, the water pressure system fell and the advisory was issued Thursday morning as crews began work on the main.

The entire Carrollton Utilities and West Carroll Water District systems are under the advisory. According to the post, the advisory will remain in effect until further notice and door hangers will not notify people due to the amount of customers affected.
