LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A large house fire broke out Monday evening in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Firefighters with the Jeffersonville Fire Department were called to the 200 block of East Charlestown Avenue around 6:10 p.m.
When the first crew arrived on scene, they found heavy flames and smoke coming from the home.
Crews initially fought the fire from outside before moving inside once they knocked down most of the flames.
Firefighters searched the first floor and basement but did not find anyone inside.
The fire was brought under control around 6:32 p.m.
No injuries were reported. The department did not say what caused the fire.
