LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman is dead and another is injured after a shooting in Louisville's PRP neighborhood Sunday night.
LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said police responded to a shooting in the 3100 block of St. Anthony Gardens Drive around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
When officers arrived, they found two women who had been shot. Both were taken to UofL Hospital, according to Mitchell.
One of the women was pronounced dead a short time after arriving at the hospital. The Jefferson County Coroner on Monday identified her as Jamila L. Jackson, 45, of Louisville. She died of gunshot wounds.
The second woman is expected to survive with non-life threatening injuries.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating the incident, but police don't have any suspects.
