LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A juvenile was arrested after a shooting during a high school football game in Mayfield, Kentucky.
Mayfield Police said the shooting happened Friday, Aug. 22 during the fourth quarter of the "Battle of the Birds" high school football game between Mayfield and Graves County high schools.
Police said in a Facebook post Sunday 18-year-old Jordan Riley, of Farmington, Kentucky was shot in the arm and upper torso and was airlifted to an out-of-state hospital.
Police said a physical altercation occurred between Riley and another juvenile, and the 14-year-old fired his weapon, hitting Riley.
The 14-year-old juvenile, of Fulton, was arrested and charged with assault.
