LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 19-year-old is charged with assault after a shooting near Fairdale in May. 

Louisville Metro Police arrested Dorian Lovett Friday, charging him with assault and wanton endangerment. 

LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 5900 block of New Cut Road at the Happy Liquors just after 9 p.m. Sunday, May 4, near Fairdale. 

Police found a man who was shot multiple times. He was taken to UofL Hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.

Lovett is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections.
