LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A second 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection to a fatal shooting in Louisville's Newburg neighborhood.

A week ago, a 16-year-old was arrested and charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a minor. In an update Wednesday, police said another 16-year-old boy was arrested and charged with complicity to murder.

Louisville Metro Police officers were called to the 5300 block of Ridgecrest Road around 7:30 p.m. June 23 on a reported shooting, department spokesperson Aaron Ellis said. That's off Shepherdsville Road, not far from GE Appliance Park.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a teenage boy who had been shot. Ellis said officers gave life-saving aid to the teen, but he died at the scene.
