LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Carroll County woman was arrested Tuesday on charges related to child sexual abuse material.
Kentucky State Police said Chrystal Gail Birch, 33, was arrested around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday after an undercover investigation by the KSP Internet Crimes Against Children unit.
KSP said in a news release Wednesday that detectives served search warrant at a home in Carrollton and seized "equipment used to facility the crime."
Birch was charged with two counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old and three counts of possession of matter a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old.
She's currently being held in the Carroll County Detention Center, and each charge is a felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison.
