LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 34-year-old Louisville woman was identified as the victim of Friday's fatal shooting in the Bon Air neighborhood.

Louisville Metro Police a said the shooting happened around 5 a.m. in the 2200 block of Liverpool Lane, which is off Bardstown Road just south of Interstate 264. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office said Monday that Yailin Casales Espinel died of multiple gunshot wounds just before 5:30 a.m. Friday.

Later Friday, officers from the LMPD Fugitive Unit and SWAT were investigating leads in the homicide were in the area of Kramers Lane, which is near Cane Run Road in the St. Denis neighborhood. Members of the Fugitive Unit located the man they believe shot the woman several times, but he took off. 

LMPD Maj. Russ Miller said the man shot and killed himself outside a mobile home park in the area. Miller said officers did not fire their weapons. He did not have any information on the relationship between the suspect and victim.
