LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 4-year-old died in a shooting on Saturday in the Chickasaw neighborhood, according to Louisville Metro Police.
LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said police responded to a shooting in the 800 block of South 37th Street, near Doerhoefer Avenue, around 3:50 p.m. Police found a 4-year-old who had sustained a gunshot wound.
The child died at Norton Children's Hospital in Louisville. Mitchell said LMPD's Homicide Unit is conducting a death investigation at this time.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office, Zacarion Depp died by "accident."
Mitchell said all parties have been accounted for in the incident.
