LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 14-year-old boy died Wednesday after police said accidentally shot himself inside a home in Louisville's California neighborhood.
Louisville Metro Police said officers were called around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday to the 1800 block of Greenwood Avenue, just west of Dixie Highway.
The boy was suffering from a gunshot wound, police said. He was transported to UofL Hospital downtown, where he died.
Police determined on scene the boy died from an "accidental self-inflicted shooting."
