LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Two people were injured in a shooting Wednesday night, and Louisville Metro Police say the investigation has led detectives to a second crime scene.
Officers were dispatched shortly before 9 p.m. to the 3400 block of Twin Oak Lane on a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound and a man with a graze wound from a gunshot inside a residence. Officers provided first aid until Louisville EMS and fire crews arrived.
Both victims were taken to University Hospital. Police said they were alert and conscious, and their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
The LMPD Non-Fatal Shooting Unit responded and took over the investigation. During the investigation, detectives determined the shooting actually occurred in the 4900 block of Poplar Level Road, where they established a second crime scene.
Investigators are working to determine the relationship, if any, between the two victims and what led to the shooting.
No suspects have been identified.
