LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Metro Arson officials arrested a Louisville man authorities say intentionally set a fire inside the bathroom of a Wendy's restaurant.

Daniel Bentley, 34, was arrested Tuesday morning, according to the official report.

Authorities say Bentley allegedly tried to set a fire inside the restaurant's bathroom on Halloween.

Officials say an investigator found the top portion of a cigarette lighter at the scene, but was not able to find the rest of it.

The official report says Bentley was taken to Metro Corrections by an LMPD officer.

Investigators say that when Bentley arrived at Metro Corrections, he admitted that he hid the remainder of the lighter in his underwear.

Officials say the lighter, which was missing its top, was then retrieved from Bentley's underwear.

Authorities have charged Bentley with attempted arson, tampering with physical evidence and wanton endangerment.

He was scheduled to be arraigned in court on Wednesday.
