LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man has been identified as the victim of a fatal hit-and-run crash on Outer Loop, according to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.

Nicholas A. Walker, 44, was hit by multiple cars while riding his bike on Outer Loop, near Preston Highway, on Sept. 22 around 11:30 p.m. Louisville Metro Police said witnesses told officers Walker was traveling east on Outer Loop when a passenger vehicle hit him from behind.

Police said a second car hit Walker. He died at the scene.

The first vehicle fled the scene, but the second vehicle stayed at the scene.

According to his family, Walker served in the U.S. Army and had four daughters. He enjoyed working on cars and has quite a few tattoos.Ā 

Walker's family said his life was cut way too short and they're hoping someone comes forward about the hit-and-run crash.
